The device that I’ve enjoyed the most this year is the HP IPAQ 910.It’s the perfect device for me. It has an amazing 1940 mah battery, qwerty frotn facing keyboard and a screen that works amazing in the outside. It has everything that a user wants in a device.

Zune 80/8 GB. I’ve used both the flash and the hard drive version this year and I’ve realized that Apple and the Ipod have a really strong contender here. The 80/120 GB version have an amazing screen and it’s one of those types that you can enjoy watching a movie on. Microsoft Zune has a subscription based service that you pay a fixed amount each month for and download an unlimited amount of musich with but the kicker is that you can keep 10 songs each month.

LG X110. A netbook that has a 10 inch screen, built in 3G modem, good battery life (2.5 hours when you use the 3G modem and have the screen set on medium brightness). The Intel Atom processor in the X110 works really well and performs really good when using intesive software such as Photoshop. It’s my choice of netbook for CES.

It’s because during the last few months I’ve had the oppertunity to try other devices such as the IPAQ Data Messenger, HP IPAQ 614, HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Pro, HTC Advantage, Sony Ericsson G900, Motorola Q9h, Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia E61i and Nokia E90, but I always go back to the HP IPAQ 910. It’s because of several different reasons but first and foremost because the stability it offers me, screen (it’s amazing during the sunshine) , the features, D-pad and the 1940 mah battery.

I run around 25 third party software titles on my HP IPAQ 910 and what I like about this feature is the fact that it runs them without any trouble at all. It has not locked up on me once when using this device. It’s amazing considering that all of my favorite applications comes from different suppliers and the 910 still runs like if it came directly from the factory.

The screen is a knockout on this device. I still remember when I were in Las Vegas last summer and had the 910 with me. The screen were nothing but amazing. Considering the fact that the degrees in Las Vegas were around 45 degree Celsius and not a cloud on the sky I found it to be amazing. I still remember the day when I compared it to my HTC Advantage and the 910 were hands down better. Here in Sweden have different type of weather, some time it’s sunny, raining, cloud and today it’s snowing. What I’ve enjoyed about the device is the fact that the screen is really good under all different types of weather. It’s also alot responsive, either if im using a stylus or my thumb it’s still as responsive as before.

The D-pad on this device is really good. I can without any trouble at all control my device, it works really good no matter if I am editing a word document or playing a game. It’s really good. The five wway navigation D-pad is really good.

The 1940 mah battery on this device is really good. This is the type of battery that allows you to fully use your device a whole day without any trouble at all. During the day I usually run Exchange activesync, imap accounts, tasks, calendar , office doucments and gaming. It’s nothing but amazing. I like the fact that when I use this device it justs goes along..

I like the fact that keyboard on the 910 is good. With alot of different devices before I’ve found that the keys on the keyboard hurts my fingers but that is definatly not the case with this keyboard. It’s definatly the best one I’ve ever tried. It’s so easy to type on it and does not give me any trouble at all.

A feature that I really enjoy with this device is the fact that it has a rubberized back. It allows me to carry on and use my device without any trouble at all as my 3G modem. It has even replaced my USB modem in backpack, no need for me to carry my USB modems with me when I’ve got the 910 in my daily carriage. Geeting all the connectivity options on this device is nothing but great. This unit allows me to do what I want to do when I want to. Such amazing times:-)

What I don’t like about this is that it worked perfectly without any trouble at all for a couple of months but now it won’t go above 50 percent charged. This happens when I use it both with the slim included and the extended battery. This makes me believe that the problem is not with the batteries. The second test I did was to check if it’s the charger, I tried the default charger from HP and another one with regular Mini USB both charged it to 50 percent. To make shure that it was not just the chargers acting up I tried them with my HP IPAQ 614 without any trouble, it charged to 100 percent here without any trouble at all. I’ve got the same software list on both of my devices and does not have any trouble at all with the software on my HP IPAQ 614.

The software list that i’ve installed on my device is:

SPB Mobile Shell

SPB Phone Suite

Astraware GTS Racing

SPB Diary

Astraware Bejwelled 2

SPB Sudoku

Astraware Sudoku

Astraware Casino

What’s weird is that i’ve got all of these software titles installed on all of my devices. I’ve even resetted my IPAQ 910 to make certain it’s not any software titles causing this issue. When in factory mode i’ve had the same trouble. Weird I tell you.

I’ve searched the internet and found people with similar problems , here in the following links:

thread1.

thread 2.

Beeing a university student here in Gothenburg and away from eight in the morning to seven in the evening 50 percent batterylife does not work for me.

I wanted to give it one more chanse and completly did a restore of the device. Unfortunately it didn’t change any thing at all.

I want to love my IPAQ 910 but it’s not answering my love. Anyone have any idea on what to do?
