Ok I was a little late picking these up from the post office since I have had an intense week.So far I have been playing with the inMotion Max first to see what all the fuss is about it. What is cool about this solution is that it offers both as a desktop and portable solution. This is a good solution for everybody that want to carry a solution with them all the time. I have played a couple of music artists so far; Lady Gaga, 50 Cent, Spiderman theme music and AC/D. Yeah I do have a broad music range:-) It plays music from these artists beautifully… If you feel that the music thaat you have on your iPod/iPhone is not enough, the inMotion Max also has a builtin FM reciever. I have tried it in a couple of different areas, where I know that I have both bad and good FM reception, and it played the FM stations really good. What suprised me is that the ones that I usually listen to while im in the centrum of Gothenburg and which usually does not work where I live since I have really and then I mean really bad reception works suprisingly well.
What cool about the display is that it actually shows what mode you have going on currently. When I have the iPod/iPhone docked the display tells me one thing ‘iPod’… . Next to it there is a battery that tellls you how much battery you have left in the device…. Good thing now when the summer is coming and when we spend all the hours outside:-)
On the top of the speaker solution you have buttons that allows you to easier control your device. What is cool about these buttons is that they atually light up when you are using them. Extremely cool:-)
Altec ships the inMotion Max with dock adapaters that fits both the old and the current iPod and iPhones. I have tried it with an iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch and 1:st Gen Nano and they work beautifully inside the dock. While talking about the docking station it has a really cool solution which allows you to actually hide the dock if you are not currently using it. … A good solution… If you want to use another solution with the inMotion Max you can connect a smartphone or mp3 device, you can use the builtin 3.5 mm jack. What I like is that Altec Lansing actually ships it with a an additional cable so that you can easily connect it.
The remote is small but what I do like about it is that it has big buttons so that you can more easily use it without trouble… It has four different programs so that you can more easily switch btween and resorting to using the buttons on the inMotion Max. The remot gives a retro feeling…
It is an extremely good speaker solution that allows you to easier use your device. Check back within two weeks when I publish a couple of videos showing how different music works with this speaker solution. I have found it to be a good solution when I play music from my Zune HD. it certainly has what I need in a speaker solution:-)
